Abraham’s Faith
Abraham was tried and tested
That his faith would fully show
That it was gold tried in the furnace
And His patience strong would grow
He believed and great was the blessing
His faith in God proved to be
For when He had received the promise
It was laughter and joy all could see
But his faith was tried still further
With the promise on the altar laid
Then God was pleased with his faithfulness
And for the promise His own son gave.
So Faithful be to the Master
That God’s promise might soon be had,
And thankful be although not seeing
‘Till it comes, be no longer sad
Thank the Lord for His promise
When your faith is tried
Thank the Lord for His goodness
Let God be glorified
